Deck & Safety Superintendent (f/m/d)

Your Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the correct planning and timely execution of all deck & safety operations pertaining to the daily activities, maintenance, improvements and technical modifications for the assigned ships.
  • Manage and is responsible for the vessels deck budgets & spare parts management
  • Prepare and support for audits and inspections and also participate during onboard audits
  • Follow up on findings in liaison and guidance with Cruise Governance/ Audit Management and documentation of findings in the Global HESS-MS platform
  • Support Cruise Governance and the DPA as subject matter expert (SME).
  • Participate in regular HESS-/ Safety meetings together with HESS SI Environment, HESS SI USPH, Nautical & Safety SI under guidance of the Head of Safety and/or DPA

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor´s degree or equivalent and minimum of 3 years professional experience in shipboard operations and preferably the maritime sector
  • IMO license is mandatory
  • Junior leadership experience
  • Safety driven and cooperative attitude
  • Very good command of the English language and proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
